"As for any new media, the key factors of success are services on-air

availability of consumer receivers at affordable costs.

Whereas the first constraint has been fulfilled since many months, the IFA
exhibition in Berlin in August 2005 has seen the first generation of
consumer receivers.

New generation receivers, more convenient for mobile application, are
already foreseen for mid 2006.

As for any consumer product, the driver for price will be the quantity. The
adoption of the DRM standard by China combined with the 2008 Olympic games
in Beijing will provide a good opportunity to have faster commercial success
and to speed up the time needed to reach the critical mass production."

U.A.E. [Dubai]  657kHz  EMI (AsiaNet) at Sadiyat Island has chosen a new
Thales 100 kW unit, is scheduled on air in March 2006. This is the third
consecutive order from EMI to Thales within the last three years and follows
the implementation of high power mediumwave turnkey projects at Dhabiyya I
and II.

CHINA   Tianjin goes Digital with M2W mediumwave transmitters, to promote
DRM on MW in China.  The Yangliuqing transmitting station has recently taken
five new Thales digital MW transmitters into operation, of 50 kW each.
Located around 100 km southeast of Beijing. Yangliuqing txing station
presently has a total of 11 Thales M2W digital transmitters on air.
