Lieber Christoph!

Ist jetzt wieder ENGLISH in der Liste erlaubt?
Vor einigen Wochen war es nicht erwünscht.

Der mögliche Grund für eine Abschaltung:

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING NUMBER SEVEN ISSUED BY THE SOLOMON ISLANDS
METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE AT 7:10 AM THIS MORNING, ON TUESDAY 02ND FEBRUARY
2021.

A TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING IS STILL CURRENT FOR RENNELL AND BELLONA PROVINCE
AND SOUTHERN WATERS OF MAKIRA AND TEMOTU PROVINCES.

AT 5:00 AM THIS MORNING , TROPICAL CYCLONE LUCAS (CATEGORY TWO) WITH A
CENTRAL PRESSURE OF 975 HECTOPASCALS WAS RE-LOCATED NEAR 17.0 DEGREES
LATITUDE SOUTH AND 163.5 DEGREES LONGITUDE EAST.
THIS IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 362 NAUTICAL MILES (671 KILOMETRES) SOUTHEAST
OF RENNELL ISLAND OR 224 NAUTICAL MILES (415 KILOMETRES) WEST OF MALEKULA
ISLAND, VANUATU.

CYCLONE LUCAS IS MOVING SOUTH - SOUTHEAST AT 16 KNOTS TOWARDS NEW CALEDONIA.
GALE FORCE WINDS (34 TO 47 KNOTS) (63-87 KILOMETRES PER HOUR) MAY STILL BE
EXPECTED TO AFFECT RENNELL AND BELLONA AND SOUTH OF MAKIRA AND TEMOTU
PROVINCES WITH VERY ROUGH SEAS AND MODERATE TO HEAVY SWELLS (2.5 – 4.0
METRES) AND POTENTIAL COASTAL FLOODING.

EXPECT WINDS REACHING 25 TO 33 KNOTS OVER REMAINING WATERS AND LAND AREAS.
MODERATE TO ROUGH SEAS WITH MODERATE SWELLS. RAIN SHOWERS, HEAVY WITH
THUNDERSTORMS.
SUCH BAD WEATHER MAY LEAD TO POSSIBLE LANDSLIDE AND FLOODING OVER
COMMUNITIES LIVING NEAR HILL SLOPES, CLOSE TO LARGE RIVERS, STREAMS AND LOW
LYING AREAS.

SEA TRAVELERS ARE URGED TO CONSIDER SAFETY ACTIONS AS SUCH HEAVY RAIN CAN
REDUCE VISIBILITY.
MOTORISTS ARE ALSO ADVISED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN TRAVELLING ON ROAD.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS RIVERS AND LARGE STREAMS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AS SUCH BAD WEATHER HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO IMPACT LIVES AND PROPERTIES.

PLEASE LISTEN TO SIBC AND ALL MEDIA OUTLETS FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
THE NEXT CYCLONE WARNING WILL BE ISSUED AT 1:30 PM THIS AFTERNOON.
