it remains to be seen what apps will still work after the shutdown and whether, for example, third party apps still can be installed. 

I'm watching the slimdevices forum. 

The Logitech media server (software) is not an alternative for me, because I don't want to run a PC/Rasperry in parallel to use the system. A Bluetooth line-in adapter and tune.in/radio.de on the cell phone/tablet will do it eork as a good sound system.

I have a working tunein app, and a working UK feeds app, and working 
shoutcast.  Only the bbc app no longer works.

I would not know why I should kinda reset the radio?  Which apps will 
survive?  And make an account on squeezebox?
