....Hope became a village on 6 April 1929 and officially became a town 
on 1 January 1965.
The town has been the location for the filming of Rambo: First Blood 
starring Sylvester
Stallone, the 2025 Netflix series Untamed, and the TV series Highway 
Thru Hell.
The internationally broadcast radio show Pop Shop Radio, also 
transmitted on shortwave, is
produced in Hope as well.
