From the earliest days of broadcasting in the 1920s through the post-war 1940s, picture postcards were an important way radio stations presented themselves to the public. At a time when radio was new, exciting, and rapidly expanding, these cards helped stations show off their studios, transmitters, on-air talent, and even the novelty of radio itself.
