Radio Nederland hat die folgenden Infos zu den DRM Tests während der IFA auf seiner Homepage veröffentlicht. vy 73 JAN ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DRM Goes Live! 22 August 2001: Professional visitors to the Internationale Funkaustellung (IFA) in Berlin had the chance today to hear the very first live digital mediumwave broadcast using the DRM system. Deutsche Telekom AG and its partners Telefunken Sendersysteme, Berlin, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft für Integrierte Schaltungen, Erlangen, and GARV, Berlin, successfully transmitted ORB/Radio 1 programme in digital quality via the Deutsche Telekom transmitter at Schaeferberg on 891 kHz, and the results were presented at the DRM Booth. Moreover, Deutsche Telekom and Mega Radio are presenting a synchronised DRM transmission from three separate transmitter sites on 1485 kHz. The transmitters are located in Frohnau, Ruedersberg and Schaeferberg. Michael Pilath of Deutsche Telekom AG, who is Vice Chairman of the DRM Commercial Committee, described the reception quality as "fantastic". Another first being offered by Deutsche Telekom is mobile reception of the DRM mediumwave transmissions in a specially equipped vehicle, in which visitors can listen to the signals on 891 and 1485 kHz while driving around Berlin. DeutschlandRadio is also presenting a special IFA programme to be broadcast on shortwave from the Deutsche Telekom transmitting site at Jülich. All these programmes plus the Deutsche Welle programme via Sines, Portugal, can be listened to at the DRM Booth in Berlin during the Fair, which is open to the public from 25 August-2 September.
