Nord Korea?, man hat dort schon Erfahrung mit dem Abbau der Anlagen.
Zwischen 1993 und 1995 wurden 4 x 250 kW BBC Sender aus der Schweiz wieder
in KRE aufgebaut.

Der 500 kW Sender aus 1990 ist schon ABB betitelt (heute Thales [Thomcast]).
Gerade das richtige für die 4.Welt, ohne grossen elektronischen
Schnickschnack, der auch noch bei einiger Unterspannung läuft.

The just today arrived WRTH mentions under KRE for the Kanggye site (exact
location is probably Wiwon as mentioned for MW 720) now "5 x 200, 2 x 250
kW" txs. Provided that these information is true (I wonder about the
source and its reliability) these two 250 kW txs should be the ones from
the Swiss Telecom Beromuenster site, which was dismantled and taked away
by a North Korean company a few years ago. (Kai Ludwig, Dec 20, 1999)

And the Schwarzenburg txs moved to new AWR Italian site North of Forli
too. If my remember is correct, AWR bought out two 'used' 250 kW tx units
from the exSwiss Telecom/SRI Schwarzenburg site, when that site was closed
few years ago. Similar action have done by the NoKoreans, when they
dismanteled two 250 kW BBC-Asea-made units from famous Beromuenster SW
site. (WB, Jul 12, 2000)

Swiss Telecom selled some 'left over' SW txs to different organization in
the past. In the Ninetieths nine 250 kW units at Swiss telecom went out of
operations:

Sarnen 1 x
Beromuenster 2 x
Lenk 2 x
Schwarzenburg 4 x

Two 250 kW txs [of 1966] selled to NoKorea [most probably from
Beromuenster site]. Other 250 kW txs selled to AWR religious broadcaster,
most probably two [of originally four] modern 250 kW units moved from
Schwarzenburg to new built site Argenta on Po river delta in Northern
Italy.

Another 250 kW unit selled now to WMLK in the US.
The previous NON-DIR SW site at Beromuenster, Lenk and Sarnen closed and
all SW installations there went to scrap.[?] ed. (BC-DX 27 Oct 2000)

Interesting information on the Swiss shortwave transmitters, about where
the txs went to.

Korea D.P.R. and AWR Argenta Italy purchased the used material. New is,
one of the 250 kW txs is seemingly forwarded later to WMLK [International
Shortwave of the Assemblies of Yahweh]. About a year ago the stn was
looking for a 100 kW SW tx.

wer wird denn den 500-kW-Sender Sottens kaufen? Ist das noch der
ursprüngliche aus den 70er Jahren?
