Radio
Station in Döberitz Havelland? Mail bitte direkt an mich.

Yes, Döberitz was always the biggest army training camp during

- Prussia empery,

- was the first airforce airport under Prussia's empire from 1910,

- was the first airforce airport trainings camp in 1936-1939, when the
German airforce LUFTWAFFE Legion Condor air corps was in force during
Spanish national war to help dictator General Franco, German airforce
volunteers in Spain.

- also the biggest German army dance orchestra was to be based at Döberitz
during Nazi era.
Famous musicans played even American Glenn Miller and Cole Porter songs
during the WW II.

- after Germany's surrender, 30.000 officers of the USSR Red Army were
station at Döberitz between 1945 and 1994.

- after collapse of the Communist Empire in 1990-1994, the area is now
transformed to a real nature resort.

The 7890 radio band was assigned to military and police mission in this
era?

August 1931, according to Adrian Peterson.
From what you mentioned about Döberitz, it must have been a UTE
station run by the military and not a regular BC station.

Hi Wolfy.
Thank you for your interesting information about Döberitz. I went to a
website that showed some historic photos of the place and its history..

This station was apparently noted in August 1931, according to Adrian
Peterson. From what you mentioned about Döberitz, it must have been a UTE
station run by the military and not a regular BC station.

I also think that perhaps the call meant Volks Polizei Döberitz, what do
you think?
But then you did say that VP was a common term during the communist era,
which began 14 years after 1931.

I guess this station remains to be a mystery.
