Hi All..

I'm actually here on the ground in Haiti running a bunch of SATCOMS links as I write this.

...

At the P-A-P airport - at the east end of the (only) runway a nice pile of NVIS antennas are now deployed - adjacent to the UN staging area.

Also -- flew in on Helo night of Day 1. ATC completely out of control. Airport Ground controllers (Clearly US) were overwhelmend by inbound aircraft, many of whom where simply entering the airspace as if it were a unicom field, ignoring approach control.... 

Wish I had recorded it, like nothing I have ever heard.

I am seeing the others Comms guys still laying on cardboard boxes in order to sleep. All The folks here are completely wrung out doing all they can ...

For those here who have Inmarsat listining capabilties, especially on BGAN, as well as Ku Birds >> Horizons 2, G17, and G28 there is huge traffic flow.
