Hallo Christoph,

ich habe auch deine Mitarbeit am WRTH auch nicht als Unfähigkeit 
gemeint. Ich musste an der Stelle eine eigentlich nicht ganz 
ernstgemeinte Selbstkritik anbringen, die nicht gegen dich oder sonstwen 
gerichtet war. Aber Ironie funktioniert im Web nicht, Lesson learned.

Wir haben als Verlag/Firma schon verschiedene Optionen ausgelotet, warum 
wir weiterhin in England drucken. Es ist nicht so, dass wir völlig dumm 
und blauäugig Entscheidungen treffen, da wir auch wollen, dass das Buch 
pünktlich weltweit ankommt.

Wir haben hierfür zwei Leute angestellt und hatten versucht, noch alle 
unsere "Massenbesteller" zu informieren. Hätten wir das Buch zwei Wochen 
früher in den Druck gegeben, dann wären einige Dinge noch nicht in der 
Form drin gewesen, wie es von der Leserschaft erwartet wird. Es gibt 
nunmal zeitliche Rahmenbedingungen, die so sind, wie sie sind. Gefallen 
tut mir das auch nicht, dass das Buch nicht pünktlich kam.

Zu der Logistik: Es ist ein Unterschied, ob ein Päckchen mit Bauteilen 
oder was auch immer durch die Welt geschickt wird oder ob eine Palette 
mit rund 1000 Büchern von UK nach D gebracht werden muss. Der 
Palettenversand in die USA hat ja ohne Probleme geklappt, sonst hätten 
die Jungs von Universal Radio nicht die Bücher vor Weihnachten 
verschicken können. Überseegebiete werden direkt aus UK beliefert, 
Festland Europa/EU aus München.

First, thank you for your continued support of WRTH and your excitement 
for the 2025 edition. We’ve seen the recent comments regarding delivery 
timelines and delays, and we’d like to address these concerns directly. 
We know that many of you have eagerly awaited your pre-ordered books and 
we regret the delays caused by Customs and freight logistics.
As some of you know, WRTH is printed in the UK, where our trusted 
printer delivers the craftsmanship and quality you’ve come to expect. To 
fulfil EU orders, the books were shipped to Germany for distribution. 
This decision was made to ensure that all EU orders can go through 
smoother customs clearance, addressing issues once and for all. 
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to streamline the distribution 
process, Customs and freight logistics caused unexpected hold-ups, with 
the journey from the UK to Germany taking over 10 days.
The good news is that the fulfilment house in Germany has confirmed that 
they expect to receive the books by Monday or Tuesday, 23 or 24 December 
2024. Once received, shipping to EU customers will begin immediately. We 
are working hard to ensure you receive your copies as soon as possible.
We deeply understand the frustration this causes, especially for those 
of you who pre-ordered in anticipation of an early delivery. Please know 
your support and patience mean everything to us. Despite these delays, 
the 2025 edition remains a treasure trove of broadcasting knowledge to 
enjoy all year round.
Looking ahead, we are actively exploring ways to improve delivery 
timelines for our European customers, including evaluating adjustments 
to our production and shipping processes. Your feedback is vital to this 
process, and we sincerely thank you for sharing your experiences.
Thank you for being part of the WRTH community and for your passion for 
radio. Your patience and support mean the world to us as we strive to 
deliver the best experience possible.
