... hatte mir letzte Woche im Natural History Museum diese Ausstellung über
Scotts letzten Weg zum Südpol angeschaut. Ist ja Olympiade, und
dementsprechend wenig los in London. Der Heldenton ("brave and hardy
scientists") stammt durchaus noch von früher. Ausstellung geht noch bis zum
2. September. Falls jemand vorbei kommt: Vielleicht sieht ja wer mit
jüngeren Augen irgendetwas Funktechnisches. Aber ich meine, die haben nix
mitgehabt.

Apropos: Die Funktechnikabteilung im Science Museum nebenan verstaubt mehr
und mehr. Nur eine Frage der Zeit, wann die Röhrensender gesprengt bzw.
gegen eine unterhaltsam aufbereitete Gen-Schnitzeljagd ("Infotainment")
ausgetauscht werden. Man beeile sich. Wobei durch Vermeidung der
Museumsrestaurants der Gewinn nicht allein im Zeitlichen liegt ...
