K.B.C Eastern Service attracts a large audience from Eastern part of
Kenya and its environs. The service comprises five sub-services namely
Burji, Rendille Borana Turkana and Somali. The medium communicates to
its audience through their own mother tongue, making it be a vital
communication tool to the people at the grassroots level, majority of
whom can neither read and write.

Eastern service provides provides a comprehensive range of programmes
carefully tailor-made to appeal to its audience. The station continues
to be the main source of information to the communities living in this
region.

Each sub-service has been allocated a time span of two hours on air
every day from Monday to Friday as follows:-

Burji      - between 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM
Rendille   - between 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Borana     - between 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Turkana    - between 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM
Somalia    - between 8.00 PM to 10.00 PM

Da Kenia UTC+3 hat, kommt das dann von 17-19 UTC.
