  Germans go to the polls on September 18 to decide between their current
  chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, and his pro-US rival Angela Merkel. We ask
  Professor Takehiko Yamamoto of Waseda University how the results of the

 *Uncertain Situation in Nepal since the "King's Coup d'Etat"

  Nepal's King Gyanendra sacked his government and declared a state of
  emergency in February. Many people are anxious that he has not yet
  fulfilled his promise to transfer power to a democratic government. We ask
  Ms Yuko Tsujita of the Institute of Developing Economies about the current
  situation and prospects in Nepal.
