Radio Today writes:
The radio industry has welcomed the publication of the Digital Economy Bill,
which reaffirms Digital Britain's commitment to a digital future for radio.

The Bill claims to create a framework to enable radio to secure its place in
the multi-platform digital world by upgrading to digital delivery.

However a scathing interview on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme this morning
got agreement to the interviewer's comment that DAB does not work well in
many cars, houses or rural areas! It also cast doubt on the analogue close
date of 2015 because millions of analogue radio receivers will still be in
use.

My personal view is that DAB is "The Emperor's Clothes" as its not the
listeners who are benefiting but the "industry" who welcome it!
