Was mich im Falle der Slowakei verwundert, sind die angeblich hohen
Kosten der KW-Sender. Vor Jahren sprang AWR bereits als Mieter ab,
auch wegen zu hoher Kosten. Warum ist die Sendezeit in Rimavska Sobota
denn so teuer?

Das kann doch nur an den Stromkosten liegen, obwohl, wenn man den
Programmbetrieb/Aussendung über Internet laufen lässt, sind die Kosten pro
Internethörer auch nicht billig, für beide Seiten.

Stehen die Atomkraftwerke auf der tschechischen Seite der ex-Doppelrepublik
Grenze? und man muss aus CZE und CIS zukaufen?

Bei der VoA hören nur 4% die Internetaussendungen, laut Umfrage.

The logic of broadcasting only on the Internet escapes me. There are two
huge cost centres in international broadcasting: programme production and
programme delivery. At Radio Netherlands, we have tried to spread our cost
savings across the whole range of what we do. But the ratio of production
costs versus delivery is probably about the same as it was before - there's
just less of each.

Putting all your cost savings into one area - delivery - seems illogical to
me, since the number of people who will listen on the Internet is a small
fraction of the numbers who listen on SW. The result is that you have an
enormous increase in the cost per listener, which - when examined by the
bean counters in govt - will provide the perfect excuse for stopping the sce
altogether. That being the case, why not just call it a day now and have
